The men's biathlon 15-kilometre mass-start race has been delayed due to intense fog at the Laura Cross-Country Ski and Biathlon Center on Sunday.

The race was supposed to begin at Sunday, but will instead be moved to Monday morning local time (1 a.m. ET).

Three Canadians are in the event. Jean-Philippe Le Guellec, Shannon, Que., Calgary’s Nathan Smith, and Brendan Green, Hay River, N.W.T., are set to compete in the 30-man field.

France’s Martin Fourcade is going for his third gold medal of the Games. He took the men's 12.5 km biathlon pursuit and the men's individual 20 km biathlon earlier in the Olympics.
