Alexander Radulov leads Russia into quarter-finals of men's hockey
Russia to meet Finland on Wednesday
Alexander Radulov scored two goals to lead Russia to a 4-0 victory at the Bolshoi Ice Dome on Tuesday over Norway in the qualification round.
Sergei Bobrovsky had 22 saves for Russia in their second straight shutout, including 10 in a frantic third period during which the Norwegians pushed hard for a comeback.
The Russians will meet Finland in the quarter-finals on Wednesday as the fifth seed.
Ilya Kovalchuk and Alexey Tereshenko also scored, but the game was closer than the final score indicated, with two goals, including an empty-netter from Radulov, coming in the final 67 seconds of the game.
Russia failed to earn a bye to the quarter-finals after being forced into two shootouts in the preliminary round, losing to T.J. Oshie and the U.S.
The powerful Russian lineup struggled early against winless Norway, but Radulov's soft backhand finally beat Lars Haugen 4:12 into the second period, ending Russia's scoreless streak of more than 101 minutes.
