Canada’s figure skaters have provided many memorable moments on their way to capturing an Olympic medal.

In this 12-part series, we catch up with some of these homegrown skating heroes as they give us insight into how they felt in their "Olympic Moment."

As the world pair champions in 2001, Jamie Sale and David Pelletier were one of the favourites for gold in Salt Lake City at the Olympics in 2002. Though they initially won the silver medal, a judging scandal meant they were awarded the gold six days later.

Sale recalls what it was like to be awarded the Gold in Salt Lake.
