Four-time Olympic medallist Adam van Koeverden brings a wealth of first-hand knowledge and experience as a high-performance athlete to his role as a guest analyst for the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games. As a seasoned competitor on the world stage, he provides valuable insight into the mind of an athlete competing in a high-pressure situation like the Olympic Games.

He's earned one Olympic gold medal, two silver and one bronze in kayak, and is a two-time World Champion, 25-time World Cup Champion and 73-time Canadian Champion.

At just 22 years old, van Koeverden was Canada's lone double medallist at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, and was chosen as the flag-bearer for Team Canada at the closing ceremony. Van Koeverden was named the 2004 Lou Marsh Award winner as Canadian Athlete of the year and in 2008 he carried the flag for Canada at the opening ceremony of the Olympics Games in Beijing.

He also holds a Guinness Book World Record for the fastest 500-metre ever in a canoe or kayak.
